Dana Bisignano teaches piano, guitar, bass and songwriting to students of all ages throughout the South Bay area. He is a working musician who recently performed on Seattle television in June of 2018, and he has previously served on the music faculty of El Camino College, Los Angeles Harbor College and Los Angeles Trade-Tech College.
Dana's students have had a wide range of backgrounds and musical goals: One will soon be completing her degree in piano performance from Amherst College. Another plays in the band Weathers, signed by RCA, which is touring nationally and featured in a recent Ford commercial.
A native of Palos Verdes, Dana began studying piano at the age of six, and he took up the guitar and electric bass as a teenager. He went on to receive his BA in Music from UCLA, where he studied piano and composition. Dana then completed his graduate work from the world renown Eastman School of Music. Dana’s own production music is currently heard in five continents and on myriad programs including Oprah, A&E Biography, VH1, Jimmy Kimmel Live, and Curb Your Enthusiasm. His film scores have been heard at the Tribeca Film Festival, San Diego Asian Film Festival and Santa Barbara International Film Festival, to name a few.
Dana has also worked as a musical director and arranger with the Actors Co-op in Hollywood on their production of Godspell. The show garnered 22 nominations and awards, including Critic’s Choice – LA Times, Pick Of The Week – LA Weekly and Critic’s Pick – Daily Variety.
Dana is passionate about teaching and currently has openings for private students on a limited basis.
